April Lockhart, born in 1995 on July 4th July. She began lessons on piano and guitar at seven years old. The passion for writing songs was ignited. When April was 12 She composed her debut single called Different. The singer spent much of her the time of 14 composing songs and experimenting with the piano. Soon after she began taking trips to write with her father, who lived in NY as well as LA. April began including other topics in the book, Take My Hand, for the people in her life who are struggling in the face of peer pressure, disability or suicide. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer who has a growing number of followers. She works with popular brand Ilia together, in addition to being a specialist in lifestyle. The truth is that she was born without a left hand. This creates her unique. However, this isn't the only aspect that makes her unique. My daily life isn't directly affected by disability. I live my normal day-to-day life and discover my own solutions to issues. But, I consider that it is a crucial component of my life. Lockhart inspires us to keep striving to be self-accepting. However, she admits to going through phases of being uncomfortable with her body and feeling uncomfortable wearing some clothing types which exposed her arms. She now wears any outfit she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook with pride. Self-love, she says, is like a journey. "I believe that you'll ever get in that place," she said.
